- Their celebrity chef is truly talented. Always thought this kind of hings are overrated, but not after Radiance. The food there is a must try. I like Cantonese cuisine the most from all the Chinese cuisine, I feel it is the healthiest and lightest of all.

Tranquility in East Midtown
Very unexpectedly to find such a place on 3 Avenue. After 30 min weekday dinner I calmed down to the level of forgetting anything that was on top of my always busy head.
They have this pagoda style wooden roof over the bar, calming quiet background music, and even the books about meditation and Chinese calligraphy.
They have a big selection of seafood dishes. I’m not a big seafood fun though, but like shrimps, so I decided to try Hong Kong Harbor style jumbo shrimps for the main course. It was yammi. It’s cooked and served in a shell topped with some crunchy crumbs that are a bit spicy and salty, but in combination with the shrimp was excellent. I guess the shell preserves the taste and juiciness of the shrimp.
I also had Mango Mousse and started with some nice tea (don’t remember the name – they have a big selection) – the tea was delicious and the way they serve it it these special pots made me feel like transported to some ancient Chinese temple…
Overall, I was surprised to find this place in East Midtown. Very friendly personnel, very clean (unlike most of Chinese restaurants). The price is reasonable, will return there again this week.
