great peruvian in a beautiful setting
One of my favorite peruvian places in the city, mosty because the food is consistently good and it is a beautiful place to take a date. they have this huge wall painted with murals of rio and parts of peru and macchu pichu which is really impresive.
I don’t usually order steak dishes in latin restaurants but ’ve pften made the exception here just because the skirt steak come with great sides.

Chicago is an intricate tapestry of cultures that rivals any of the world’s cosmopolitan metropolises. And if you want a culinary adventure, you don’t always have to go far to try Peruvian cuisine. Rapidly becoming the trendiest in the culinary world. Instead, try Rios D’Sudamerica in Bucktown, where traditional Peruvian cuisine meets elegant, white-tablecloth dining. The food of Peru blends the nation’s varied climates and settings, from the sub-tropical Pacific coastline to the high peaks of the Andes Mountains. Add that to the people of different cultures who have made their mark on the land, from ancient Incan Indians to Spanish colonists to immigrants from Africa and Asia, and you wind up with a wide variety of truly unique flavors. The most famous dish at Rio’s D’Sudamerica is ceviche: seafood drizzled with a citrus juice that “cooks” the outside of the fish with its acidity.
Drop in Sunday between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to feast on the buffet. Many other meats
