Roger's Deli

This deli is situated in a strip mall with a number of poor quality restaurants. There’s a below average Chinese restaurant next to a below average Japanese restaurant. There’s also a Subway’s, and a Carl’s Jr, which don’t exactly need to be reviewed.

Then there’s this donut shop/deli down at the end that looks like a dump. Except it turns out that they have good food. It’s not a gourmet restaurant, and the environment is far from upscale, but it’s far better than fast food, and a couple of stars better than Subway’s or Togo’s.

They have a large variety of sandwiches, and a large selection of breads. There are about 30 sandwiches to choose from, or you can have them make whatever combination you want. They also have an ample selection of salads and beverages. And it’s all good.

If you’re looking for a place for a romantic date, this isn’t it. If you are looking for deli food, you will get good deli food. Roger’s is a pleasant surprise. Don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s just some ordinary donut shop. It’s far, far better.
