Greasy Chinese food. Better luck elsewhere
The target clientele of this restaurant seems to be teenagers visiting after partying on Whyte Avenue until the wee hours of the morning. Fast and greasy Chinese food… equivalent to the satisfaction one gets from a Big Mac, is what you get here.
This is not “refined” dining. It’s a bit grubby (not very clean) here, the service is poor, and the food is marginal.
For “real Chinese food”, I can highly recommend the Golden Rice Bowl Restaurant at 5365 Gateway Boulevard (www.goldenricebowl.ca). The food is authentic there, the place is clean & classy, and it’s very popular (good sign that people agree with me!)… Check out my review of the Golden Rice Bowl (GRB) on this site. Vue Weekly (Edmonton publication) rated GRB as having “Best Dim Sum, 2008”, and the Edmonton Journal gave it a great review.
