Old School Class
I don’t normally write reviews but because there are a few bad ones here I feel obligated to set the record straight.
There has been a major overhaul at this place so if you haven’t been there in the last month you should really give it another chance. They have a new menu that is fantastic along with a Happy Hour with free appetizers!
I think that my favorite things on the menu are the Eggplant, the Beef Spedini and the homemade Carrot Cake.
I also love this place because of the bartender, Jerry. He is a class act and makes sitting at the bar a pleasure. . .

A great happy hour!
A nice setting, attentive service, great cocktails. Bartender Jerry took great care of us and best of all, free food and a parking lot (also free)! For those of you that are familiar with the area, you know what a challenge finding parking can be. In addition to the free happy hour selections, we ordered several pizzas, toasted ravioli, mozzarella marinara, and I think one person in our group ordered the veal. We were all very impressed, very happy, and we’ll be back! I’ll be back for their Friday fish fry in particular.

Never again at the Savoy
NEVER AGAIN AT THE SAVOY RESTAURANT!
Having been to the Savoy Restaurant a few times for after-work cocktails we decided to try them for dinner. We asked another couple to join us. Arrived at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm reservation. A drink at the bar and seated at a table at 6:20pm. So far so good. Food arrived and three of the four dishes (2 veal picatta and one beef sandwich) were mediocre at best. Very mundane taste and presentation. We had two more drinks each as we leisurely discussed common interests. We paid our bill and proceeded to finish the last of our drinks. At 7:50pm, a mere 90 minutes after starting our dining experience, our waitress came to the table and stated “I know I told you to stay at your table as long as you liked but I will have to ask you to leave because the manager told me we need this table. We have 4 chairs reserved for you at the bar.” I looked around the room and found that there were 6 empty 4 seat tables, one 8 seat table and three booths were also empty. There were only two people seated at the bar so it was obvious there was no one waiting for our particular table. When I told the waitress we were almost done with our drinks she restated “I’m sorry but the manager says you have to leave the table”. I and my wife, having been the ones who asked our guests to dinner, were never more embarrassed at an eating establishment in our lives. We had just spent $160.00 at this restaurant and here they were interrupting our enjoyable conversation and ordering us to leave our table. Obviously they were trying to “hustle” us to the bar to get more of our money. BEWARE! This restaurant is run by some extremely rude, unconscionable amateur restaurateurs out to take your money and treat you like thrown out garbage!
