- The man that I’m assuming owns it and also works there by himself is as I said “by himself “. So just give him time, he’s ptetty darn quick, to get ur order done. At least everything will be piping hot!!

Very Disappointing
I drove by Skeenies today and having my son in the car I decided to give him a taste of where his mother and I ate when we were dating. I haven’t ate there in 20 yrs and after today I don’t plan on eating there in another 20 yrs. On arrival I noticed the outside of the building looked the same other than the picnic tables that used to be out front was gone. The inside of the building needs a good remodeling. The health dept inspection ticket in the window listed 6 or 7 things all of which were about cleanliness. Of course most of which can’t be corrected without a good remodeling.
The gentleman that waited on us wasn’t dressed very professional, but he was very friendly and polite. That’s where the great memories stopped. They were out of most of the items on the menu. We ordered foot longs with mustard, ketchup, chili, slaw and onions.
I was so disappointed. They weren’t foot longs, they were 2 regular hotdogs on a foot long bun. The bun was soggy, falling apart, and stuck to the paper bag he slid the hotdog into. They had more onions on them than they had slaw. And when did Skeenies switch from an all meat chili sauce to a watered down bean sauce? That’s right, in a state that’s remembered for using a beef chili for hotdog sauce, they changed their once great beef chili recipe to a bean chili.
In my opinion the once great hotdog stand has turned into a total flop.
I give them a 2 thumbs down.
Please change back and stop watering down your hotdog chili.
