Great Restaurant!

I come to Somewhere In Augusta all the time. They have great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Love to come here for football games. Tons of tvs, they even have small tvs in all the booths. Somewhere also has Comedy Zone, the only comedy club in augusta. They also came under new management last year and much has been improved since then.

chicken wings

Honey BBQ wings are delicious. The wings are big and juicy. They also have many other delicious flavors.

Club Sandwich

Three slices of texas toast, ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and bacon. Very good.

Buffalo Chicken Wrap

One of my favorite dishes there. Very good.

Worth the drive - more then just a sports bar!!!

After hearing radio commercials and seeing numerous print ads we decided to check it out. As we walked in we were greeted and seated by a friendly staff member. Our server Devan followed up and asked if we had been here before? When we said it was our first time she told us about upcoming events they have going on. This place is more then just a sports bar with their weekly line up of Trivia, Karaoke, Bands & they even have a Comedy show every week, She also gave us a few menu items to consider before she left to get our drinks. Their menu was easy to read and has a couple of unique items on it like the Stuffed Homewrecker. The atmosphere was really neat and great for watching sports as I never saw a place with so many TV’s. There was even one at our booth. We received our food order in a timely manner. My son ordered the Jumbo wings which he said were the best he ever had.My husband got the Stuffed Homewrecker which he said was incredible but couldn’t finish, as it was a foot long hot dog stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon & topped with chili & more cheese! I had their Black n Bleu burger that was delicious & came with seasoned fries that were very good. We all enjoyed our experience and feel its well worth the drive. We’ll be back especially when football season hits.

chicken wings

Best wings we’ve ever had. Tried the Wet Ranch Lemon Pepper & the Asian Zing. Never had any flavors like these & they were both delicious!

Black n bleu burger

this hamburger was big! 1/2 lb. Angus burger topped with their own special bleu cheese sauce. Can’t describe it, just have to say if you like bleu cheese this is the burger for you.

Stuffed Homewrecker Hot Dog

Foot Long Nathans Beef Hot dog. We got the stuffed one which is stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon & deep fried then comes out topped with chili, onions & more cheese. OMG! You’ve never seen anything like this in your life. It took up the whole plate & came with fries. My husband did his best but couldn’t eat it all.

Gone Downhill Fast

The food portions are smaller and not near as good as they use to be. Some of the employees are good but most of the servers I have had lately are clueless and can’t even remember a basic order without a notepad. The prices have gone up at the same time the service and quality has gone down. There are just too many good choices in Augusta to get ok food with crappy service. Somewhere use to be the place to be and the servcie was great so I hope someone can’t get it turned around quick or I will have to be driving further for a good sports bar again.

We came as a group for lunch, something we haven’t done in a while because of the above complainte and our food came out wrong and not all at the same time – as much as almost 10 minutes apart. With this kind of service it is no wonder hardly anyone was in there for lunch.

chicken wings

Absolutley nothing like they use to be – tough and hard to eat.

Nachos

The stuff on the menu didn’t even come with the nachos and when I asked for it I was told it would be more money.

bar food, sub-par service, but a decent atmosphere

The food isn’t the best, but that can be ascertained to the fact that it is bar food. The service is sub par at best. It seems like if you aren’t a regular customer the service will be lacking. The venue itself is actually a great sports bar atmosphere. Multiple televisions with several games going at once.

the wings were decent

Your average sports bar: food for drunks

This newly opened eating establishment was just too tempting not to stop. Its interesting verande which overlooks Washington Rd is quite beautiful during the day as well as at night. The first thing you notice on entering will most likely be the full service bar of to the right, which appears to be stocked nicely with a large selection of liquors. Each of the boothes are equipped with their own flat screen television, which would be novel for most, but a distraction from the company for me. I ignored the television as best as I could at both the table and in this review and simply decided to just tell you about its existance and let the reader decide if it’s a plus or not. What I will review on is the clean appearance of the dining room. The place is new and filled with all kinds of curio that sports fans would find interesting. I was actually most impressed with the music that was played overhead, which was a wide variety of classic rock. Best of all, the aucustics of the restaurant allowed the music to be loud, but still be able to hear your dinner companion quite easily. The menu was very impressive and it was not difficult to skim over and make a good decision. The menu consisted of sandwiches and burgers to steaks and had a wide variety of appetizers. The taste of the food made me wish that I wasn’t driving so that I could have had a few drinks, it would have tasted better then, I just KNOW it. The waitress was warm at first, but she consistantly cooled down and became almost robotic by the time the check came. She made no attempt to offer any desserts. The sweet tea that I ordered wasn’t good, so I never needed refills. The water in Augusta is much better than their tea.
BTW: Somewhere in Augusta is located only a 1/2 mile from the North Gate of the PGA Masters, which does make a prime venue for golf fans.

Club Sandwich

Would be much better if I were a little intoxicated. The fries were VERY salty and the sandwich was predictable, but there was no speculation against the freshness or argument with the quantity.

Chicken Wing Wrap

The wrap was supposed to be spicy, but it was pretty mild. I could imagine that if I were drunk and wanted something spicy, paying $8 for this would have made me upset. The chicken was tough and there was some ligament in one of my bites, however the ingredients were fresh. Fries were salty, but I’d like that if I were drunk.

Worst experience ever

Greetings:

My mother and I visited this restaurant on April 11, 2010 after leaving service. I must say that I had the worst experience that I have ever had in my life. Upon entering, the waitress didn’t appear to be interested in seating us. My fist instinct was to leave, however, we decided to give it a chance. After seating us, her attitude was very dry and I asked my mother was it just me? It obviously wasn’t as she felt the same. We should have left at this point, however, we decided to stay as we had an engagement to attend and our time was limited. First, we ordered drinks, salad and wings. The young lady brought our drinks and salad to the table; didn’t say a word and proceeded to walk off. After attempting to get her attention for 5 minutes or so, she finally walked over with a smug look on her face. I informed her that my mother had a bowl full of brown lettuce and asked if they had any fresh lettuce. Her response was “I’m sure that if they had fresh lettuce, they would have given it to you”. This comment was very inappropriate, unprofessional, and rude. I was appalled at how crass this young lady was. I looked at my mother and told her that we were leaving. She was in agreement so I informed the waitress that we were leaving. She asked us to wait so that she could ask her manager if we owed them for the first drink that my mother drank??? We waited (out of respect), and just happened to witness her interaction with her manager. The manager didn’t walk over to inquire, however, his hand motions indicated that he could care less. He just waved his hand as if to say..“Whatever”. She walked back over and began to clean off the table so we left.

I am originally from Thomson, GA, currently live in Marietta, GA and have dined in several restaurants. This was by far the worse experience I have ever had. I would never step foot into this restaurant again. I didn’t see many African American’s and wondered if maybe it was a racial issue. To this day, I am not sure what the problem was, however, I can say that we were treated as if we were not welcome. I had eaten there 1 time previously and the food was very good. However, no matter how palatable the food was, it cannot dismiss the piss poor customer service that we received during our last visit.

In closing, I’d just like to say that I do hope that whatever the issue was that day has been rectified as if it hasn’t, I can’t understand how this restaurant remains in business.

With Regards, Kay
