Drool worthy
Ah, my favorite breakfast place…how I love thee, let me count the ways… The og Stacks in Redwood City is definitely the best and lines can be quite long on weekends. The other locations can be heavy on oil and attitude. Known for their “stacks,” I usually get their three egg scrambles with all the artery clogging goodies I can get…served with a butter-drenched toasted bagel. Not for the faint of heart or those on a diet.

IHOP/Denny plus
I’m a little confused. This place is called Stack’s and has a logo of pancakes but doesn’t actually seem related to the stacks in burlingame and menlo park. They do serve pancakes, but it actually doesn’t feel as nice as those others. I guess there are 2 Stacks chains in the area?
In any case, I didn’t order any pancakes since I didn’t want to feel too weighed down the rest of the day. The food was ok and the service was pretty good. It felt slightly nicer than IHOP or Denny’s.
Dishes Tried:
Monte Cristo Sandwich
Definitely not the best, but not the worst. It could have used more taste. The bread was too soft and wasn’t eggy enough for me. It came with potatoes and a salad – both of which didn’t have too much taste. The fruit cup was probably the tastiest thing.
Crab Fritatta
It’s hard to go wrong with a platter of egg and crab. The taste I had was surprisingly decent.
