Sweet Georgia's Jute Joint Atlanta
After a long week of business meetings and looking for a place to unwind and have dinner before a flight home – Georgias Jute Joint was recommended by local staff. Walking in the front door we felt a relaxing atmosphere – a jazz band was playing on the back stage. People were conversing… smiling and all enjoying the food. Our hostess sat us at table in the bar and explained the local favorite drink of moonshine. No not the take your breath away but smooth – flavored and spiced. One of the best drinks I have had. Sweet Georgias is classy … decor is warm.
Dishes Tried:
fried chicken
Our group ordered entrees of fried chicken, grilled pork chops,and shrimp and crawfish stew. We ordered sides of mac n cheese, fried green tomatoes, creamed spinach, collard greens with smoked turkey and sweet potato fries.
Hands down the fried chicken won… not greasy but light coating and flavorful. The side of spinach melted in your mouth. The group voted the fried green tomatoes as the best side.
Our group agreed there wasn’t a single thing that could of been better-food – service or atmosphere.
