This is more proof that the negative review was a shot at the Bartender Gail and associate. When a customer goes out to eat, their rating is a group total, which includes the service, atmosphere and the food. This person knows Gails name but she uses the word unknown for the person. This person is stating she’s flagging them both down, but why mysterously “gail and the other unknown” if this woman was trying to get their attention then why mysteriously only her name. If the place was busy and then guess what, the only way you could of gotten Gails name was from the check. And the only way you could of gotten her name from the check is for the fact she actually did come to your table. Not once but twice.

This person takes shots at the employee and all of the sudden says that food is 5 star there. A review is about the place, the service and the food. If you like the food giving it 5 starts and you mentioned this one time, that means your a regular which also means the chances are both bartenders and others have servered you in the past. They follow the same set of customer service procedures. Every bartender is trained on how to operate on how to great a customer, what to place on the table, etc etc. All corporate employees in a franchise setting have to follow specific guidelines and operational procedures. And as stated, if you said
“this one time” that means you’ve been there more than once or twice.then you know what to expect.

The review she posts has no specifics in why she would give 0 for a rating. 0 is pretty harsh then to just come out and make a general statement. No specific reasons other then something made up I would have to say.

If she was that bad, when why did she get tipped over 200% of the bill when I met her for the first time. . . wasnt there because I thought the food at TGIF was better than mine thats for sure.

The truth about people from around there :

-some people are nasty deliberately to people that work at resturants because they know the employee cant say nothing back.
-they are always on their cell phone and have an attitude problem, that the second they are off the phone they expect the person to be right there.
-people form around that area think they are the queen and king of england when their check exceeds $5.
-they cant hold a coversation down without busting out their cell phone and text messaging the person sitting next to them.

Anyhows, people from that area arent the sharpest tools in the bunch. But i seriously doubt this review, thats why I went to great lengths to debunk that negative review about that bartender.

In defense of Gail that works at this TGIF, not my first time there, but had Gail. The next opposite in everything this woman was saying. Took about 10 seconds for her to come over to the other side of the bar and greet me. Placed the napkins, menu, table setting when she didnt know if i was there for drinks or eating or both. Thats what you do textbook in a resturaunt. Everything was ontime didnt have to ask for anything it was there even before I had to say anything. There’s alot of franchise resturaunts in the area that simply dont care, but Gail and company would make me say Id go back there for the service. Couldnt care less about TGIF’s food but would go back for the people. TGIF food is overpriced, fried, fatening and unhealthy.

Had no problems with Gail, she was attentive, held a conversation with me immediately, not the small talk type, but a normal conversation, as if I’d known her for years. I dont know what this woman was complaining about but it was more than likely somehting the customer didnt like. People around that area if your not basically their servant they write hate revenge retalization reviews. Gail and the other unknown is suspecious because if they both were at the bar and you tried to flag them down, then how come you only know Gail’s name and not the other. In addition, this customer was probably sitting down at a table

This customer fails to state how busy the place was, what time it was, what day of the week it was. In a bar during the normal 5-8 its busy. There are 3 bartenders, normally 2, that whole bartending section seats about 20 at the tables (4 people x 5 tables), and the bar wraps around seating about 40-48 people, then you have peple seating behind the people sitting at the bar which can range form 25-40 people. So you could of had as much as 20 people sitting + 48 people at the bar + 25-40 totalling anywhere from 60 to 90 people and 2 to 3 people handling that service. This person also mentions, “this one time” means she’s a regular there and is famliar to the place. Wouldnt take what this person said with a grain of salt.

Not the biggest fan of TGIF Food, but since I opened up a 5 star resturaunt in Cali a year ago and we’re doing great, I know what qualilities are needed in this business, I would of told Gail to pack her bags and go to Cali and work at my resturant with minimum doubled of what she was making there and it would of been worth every penny.

She made such a good first impression to the point, the bill was $13.50, she got a $25.00 tip and the guy got $10 because he was also working there, so I didnt want him to feel out of place, but the guy did a good job as well. Because waiters and bartenders make their money from people aka the customers that walk in, and franchises take advantage of that giving them about $2.13 an hour, it wouldnt make any sense nor be in their best interests to provide bad service…they’d just be hurting themselves.

But had to write this review for one reason and thats to defend Gail and what was my first impression of her, for the first time and having her serve me.

I dont know what this problem with this women is about her experience, but my experience with Gail was no problem, no complaints and she did what would be expected to do if she worked in my resturaunt. If she went to work for me, there would be training on the place itself, and not treat people like this and make sure you do that, she had that part down solid. People that wait tables and bartend, walk away any where between $275 and $400 a night in gratuties at my place, so that tells you about the service. But dont believe this woman…judge for yourself and make your own conclusions when you go there.
