Really good Cheese Steak

What you get for the price is execellent! It’s really tasty, with lots of variations. Since it was actually my first time eating a Philly Cheese Steak, I had the classical one…and wow, the meat was juicy and good. You should definitely try this out when you’re around because it’s very worth it.

Cheese Steak

Try the classical one first, and start exploring other variations.

Macaroni Salad

This was A-OK.

Good start!

First time I tried this place and definitely worth many more return trips! I had the traditional hoagie but it comes with mayo standard. That ain’t right. (A real hoagie comes with oil.) But I’ve lived here long enough to know to ask for any “hoagie” without mayo. A plus: comes with sweet or hot peppers without special request.

My girlfriend had the cheesesteak with Whiz – she liked it really well. I had a taste and still have to give the cheesesteak to Hey Paisan in Burien.

Tat's Italian

Great roll – really stands up to all the filling. Peppers were good – not overpowering. Can’t beat the combo of salami, ham and provolone in my book!

Best Cheese steak outside of Philly or NY

Greasy but good, had to wait 10 minutes just to order but it was worth the wait. This isn't a kid friendly place, best to grab it to go.

Best Philly Cheese Steak in Seattle

They have great sandwiches and cheese steaks. This place would do good back east in Philly or NY so having it in Seattle is a blessing. It does get crowded at lunch hour, and not a great atmosphere to sit in and eat. Get it to go and…

Tats Delicatessen is delicious

There is quite a wait during lunch hour, but well worth it. Come before noon or after two to avoid the rush. Their sandwiches are very filling. I recommend the "tat' strami": pastrami and coleslaw.

Tips
  • Come Seahawks season the deli stays open later; call ahead for exact schedules.
  • A stop at Tat's for a sandwich en route to a Mariners game at nearby Safeco Field is a delicious (and more wallet-friendly) option than stadium food.
