Just damn good food.

The Buttered Biscuit in Sumner is one of the most unique restaurants in the valley. The atmosphere is eclectic and casual. The wait staff is friendly and inviting. I have eaten here for years, and it is a place I always bring friends to when they are in town. The food is “just like grandma used to make”. That is if granny had wanted all her grandkids to be overweight. The portions are borderline insane. If you’re going for breakfast, bring a friend and order the train wreck. I have tried three times to finish it in one sitting, and failed. Dinners are great, too. Go on prime rib night and you will be satisfied. Two things to know about the BB. One: it’s hard to find, unless you know where you’re going. Two: When it’s busy, bring a little extra patience. Trust me, it’s worth the wait, and if you have kids they have a play area for them.

Train Wreck

Bring a friend to help finish this monster breakfast. Chicken fried steak, bacon, onions, potatoes, cheese all covered in S.O.S gravy.

Darned Good Food

I love breakfasts here, though it seems a little more pricey and the location is one of those where you’d never see this place unless you were given directions. Anyways their location is not the best, their mismatch of decor is not the most eye pleasant. The place looks rundown but the food is awesome. I’ve never had a problem with service, though when they are busy it seems like they’re understaffed but other than that if it wasn’t for the amazing food I wouldn’t go back. Their sandwiches, especially their Ruben, I heard good things about this and had to try it, and yes, it is big and delicious, probably not as much as a great deli that specializes in them but they’re up there. I love the mason jar glasses, very country. Their country fried steak is another one I’ve heard lots about and delicious.

Country Fried Steak

Heard from friends about this place having one of the best country fried steaks, I’m a huge fan of country fried steak and thought I’d be the judge of that. When it came it is huge, crispy and delicious. I’ve been back several times for this dish, it is outstanding.

Chicken special on Thursday nights

I have been in here 4 times now…and the food just gets worse and worse…The last time was Thursday night for the fried chicken special…for $5.00 you get 2 pieces of chicken (1 thigh and 1 leg) a small scoop of mashed potatoes with gravy, for an extra $1.50 you can get a side of wilted lettuce salad, or a piece of corn bread.

The chicken had some sort of very thick nasty coating, and after I removed the coating, it had no flavor what-so-ever, even salt and pepper didn’t help. The gravy tasted like it came out of a can, and ruined the potatoes…I got both the salad and the corn bread…the salad tasted like a simple syrup with a carmel coloring added, and was sort of room temp. I love wilted salad, and this isn’t what I would call any sort of salad.
I did enjoy the corn bread the next day at home…the food was so bad that I came home and made mac. and cheese…
The diet coke was ok…
Need I say that we will not be going back thier.
Dinner for the 2 of us came to $30.00 that included a $1.34 tip. Did I say the service sucked as bad as the food…?
