Pretzel Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Chocolate Guinness Ice Cream sounds weird, but it is oh so good. The Guinness actually brings out more of the chocolate flavor. The ice cream itself is premium. You can feel the butterfat coating your tongue like a velvet blanket. It tastes rich but it actually not a very heavy ice cream. The cookie itself was a great combination with the sweet chocolate and salty pretzel. The cookie was a little too hard to eat as a sandwich but it was great as a dipper. Thumbs up, way up!

Maple Flapjack Cookies with Root Beer Ice Cream sounds weird again, but really good. I’m admittedly not a fan of root beer, but I could actually eat this ice cream and enjoy it. My family thought it tasted exactly like a root beer float. The texture was like silk and lovingly coated the taste buds. The cookies had a light maple flavor with chewy texture which aided with the sandwich handling. Thumbs up, way up!

S’mores Cookies with Red Velvet Ice Cream sounds like a match made in heaven. Two awesome desserts on their own combined into one sammie. The ice cream tasted like a red velvet cake with a lot of cream cheese frosting (not too sweet to my delight). The cookies were chewy and had all of the flavors in a s’more but without the campfire. The cookie was so delicious; it could stand on its own. Thumbs up, way up!

Candied Bacon Ice Cream is a brown butter base ice cream with brown sugar candied bacon. It is absolutely fabulous! Imagine a pecan praline with bacon. It has a luxurious mouth feel and the bacon just balances all of the flavors from creamy to sweet to salty. I can see why this put Coolhaus on the map! Thumbs up, way up!
