The Localvore's Delight
Now Dogwood (the restaurant) uses the same concept as Woodberry, but they cater more to the Vegan/Vegetarian side. Now me being a meat lover, there are less choices on what to eat. But the food that we have there is ALWAYS amazing, fresh, and colorful. They finally got their liquor license, so the can properly use that beautiful huge bar they have. It’s almost deceiving as to where it is. Just look for Dogwood Deli on the outside, and walk in and down to the actual restaurant.
The decor is beautiful and quaint, and service is always prompt and cordial. The place isn’t huge, but if you make a reservation you should be fine. Here you don’t have to worry they might overbook their reservations, and your always promptly seated. I personally recommend the duck dish, and my husbands favorite is pork wrapped in bacon. Now me not being a Vegan, I really can’t comment on the option’s they serve for that. But I can pass the word along from friends who are Vegan/Vegetarian, and it seems to be their favorite place.
Most often the owner and or the head chef come out and about every 2 hours or so, to see how everything is doing. Both are very approachable, and have no problem in engaging in conversation if you want to. Dogwood is a great place for good food. I personally recommend this place for a good first date (trust me guys you will impress)
