Lost Bread (French Toast) was the best I ever tasted

Maybe we just had special treatment, but we had a great great server named Naisha who really catered to us and made our visit to The Gumbo Pot most enjoyable. The Lost Bread (French Toast) was like nothing I ever ate before and I am a cook. I don’t eat grits but they looked so good and creamy that I wanted to. Everyone else raved about them and said they were yummy. We had a group of 8 people and tried the Fried Catfish, Salads, Seafood Gumbo and Yaya Gumbo and everyone was satisfied. For me its a must to go back, especially for breakfast.

Hurricane

Hurricanes were great and not overly priced. A little too strong for me but that is what most people want.

Lost Bread

I am so glad that I found out about this Lost Bread. It was the best French Toast I ever ate in my life. The sausages that went with them were also perfectly cooked and not fatty at all. I can’t wait to try to make it.

Delicious Brunch

My wife and I both loved this resturant. The Mimosas were great, the grits the best ever, and the omlettes were good too. We have already decided it is a must visit every trip to NOLA.

Mimosa

Very good.

Grits

Best grits I’ve ever had!

Nothing vegetarian here, but the drinks are good!

No matter what they tell you, there is nothing vegetarian on this menu. The cook does not understand what vegetarian means. We ordered an Eggplant Creole Appetizer that was supposed to be vegetarian, but the sauce had shrimp in it. Nonetheless, I loved the Hurricanes at this place. Unlike the fruit-punchy Hurricanes you get at Pat O’Brien’s, this one was more citrusy, and refreshing – much better, and much more authentic.

Hurricane

Best Hurricane in the Quarter. It’s big, flavorful, and not that expensive.
