Tasty kebabs
Mon-Fri lunch special is an excellent value. Choice of four entrees: Beef (ground), beef & chicken (ground), chicken tikka (chunks), or vegetarian (falafel etc.). “Shishkebab” here means ground meat wrapped around a sword-like skewer, not a thin skewer run though chunks of meat (that would be “tikka”). Portions are substantial (2 skewers of beef), including both rice and bread—enough rice for a side dish with a second meal. (Most kebab shops make you choose bread or rice.) A small amount of simple salad is included with the specials.
I have not tried items from the main menu, which are higher in price. They apply for dinner and all day on weekends, when the lunch special menu is unavailable. But there is considerably more variety, including shawarma, lamb, salmon, and appetizers (e.g., hummus, tabouli, baba ghannouj). Also lentil soup.
Ambiance is limited to the point of being stark. There are a couple of tables outside, if you prefer the view of a strip shopping center parking lot. I myself opt for take-out.
Service is brisk but not brusque. Food is cooked to order, so allow a couple of extra minutes. Credit cards are accepted, although in such a way that a tip cannot be added (there is a tip jar for cash gratuities).

Beef shishkebab special
Very tasty beef, perfectly seasoned. Rice and bread were good. Salad dressing came in a thimble-sized container, but as I got take out, there was more at home. I’ve ordered this more than once. Just writing this review is making me think about going there in about an hour, when they open….
