Lovely Italian Eatery
The atmosphere was comfortable. The waitress’ were pretty and friendly. And best of all at 6:30pm (it was a Thursday eve.) an older gentleman came in and began to play lovely tunes on his accordion…AWESOME!! Live music that is not too loud and obknoxious to accompany a meal is something we need more of in our local eateries…thank you for this Tirami Su of Shelby Township, MI.
I did not like the fact that if you are going Northbound on Schoenherr and need to make a left to enter the parking lot you risk getting rear-ended. The need a safe way to enter the restaurant for those travelling on Northbound Schoenherr.
Dishes Tried:
Italian Trio
The Italian Trio was on the special for the night and this was the night that they were introducing it.
The portions were ample, the food was hot, well cooked and very tastey. Best of all it wasn’t prepared and nuked in the microwave, this stuff was fresh.
The trio came with the usual fare of lasagna, fettuccine & chicken parmigiana. Too bad for my ever expanding waist as I absolutely loved the decadent fettuccine! The fettuccine noodles were thick and had the perfect amount of buttery, parmigiana sauce on them. The chicken parmigiana had a perfect crust with moist chicken inside. The lasagna was layered perfectly topped with a tastey tomatoe based sauce.
The salad before the meal was cold, crisp and fresh BUT the salad dressing had very little taste to eat…oh well. Also, it was a bit annoying that there was one measley piece of cucumber and one itty bitty grape tomatoe in the salad BUT it was cold, crisp and fresh! :)
