Udon West

This japanese noodle house serves udon noodles in soup and any noodle soup you order is guaranteed to tastes great! The best is the udon noodle soup with marinated beef! It’s mouth watering! And try the curry sauce over rice with slices of fried chicken together in a bowl. It’s excellent! All at a modest price. You will love it!

This place is a nice change of pace from the rest of the flushing restaurants which are mostly Korean and Chinese. Good traditional style Japanese food is rare in Flushing.

I like their shrimp tempura udon. Their kakiage udon is good too. I usually have an appetizer of gyoza and rice balls and maybe some edamame. They have this white Japanese drink that is awesome. Calpico or something was its name. I never forget to order one when I go there.

Parking is not easy since the place is on a busy intersection of Northern Blvd and Union St right near the police station.

Food is good. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. I like to stop in here once in a while when I’m in the area
