The incredible flavors of Verandah never cease to amaze us. Another review of this fine Italian eatery found its way into our lives on a business trip back to Sin City, thus leading us to another intriguing and delightful meal at this favorite Las Vegas dining institution inside the Four Seasons Hotel.
On the menu this time, Chef Antonio prepared a three course tasting menu that not only satisfied my rumbling stomach, but also reinforced the fact that his culinary expertise just continues to charm, enchant, and delight diners with every bite.
My first course was the Open Faced Caprese Salad with Burrata Cheese and a succulent aged balsamic. I loved the creaminess of the burrata, while the refreshing heirloom tomatoes and the punch of sweet and tangy balsamic added a satisfying finish to the entire dish.
I selected the Truffle Crusted Chilean Sea Bass for my main course. This is one of my favorite fish presentations. I adore the mild sweetness of the meat of the fish. It’s truly unlike anything else. This presentation was topped with a braised Tuscan kale and accompanied by a cast iron vegetable lasagna.
Can you guess what my husband ordered? Yep…Verandah’s 12-ounce Filet Mignon. (I’d be shocked if he ever ordered anything else!) But of course, I can’t blame him. This succulent and mouthwatering massive portion of lean beef is a savory experience to be indulged in again and again…and again…and again.
For my third and final course of the evening, I indulged in the Salted Caramel Panna Cotta. Something different, I must admit. However, something amazingly scrumptious and sinfully delicious! The Dolce Leche gelato paired nicely with the panna cotta, while a creative butterscotch marshmallow sat atop a dark chocolate painted stripe on the plate. Such a unique and artistic display and placement of all things delicious!
Another wonderful dinner experience at Verandah…another exciting review to write about it. We can’t wait to see what Chef Antonio is planning on the menu for our next trip into the city!
