Needs some work

I took some friends out to dine here the other night. We were seated immediately, which was great considering we were a larger group. But the tone quickly changed as we waited a long time for a waiter. Once he arrived, he was out of breath and very quick to take our drink order and left before anything else could be ordered.
This lack of attention continued throughout the night. We got our apps at different times, food at different times, sides came 5 minutes after main course and our table was not cleared off, in fact I called over the busser.

Despite how busy the waiter was, no other person stepped in to lend him a hand. Not even the manager which was laughing and chatting with the hostesses (can’t blaime him).

All in all, the place is black listed from my dinning choices.

Conclusion: This place needs more experienced management and wait staff, the food was good but not great. The bathrooms were amazing but not enough to bring me back.

HAHA, I SAID ZWIENER... Best Traditional Burger

If you’re ripping off names and you’re an actor, I’d go with Pitt, Vaughn or maybe Jolie. If you’re in fashion, Gucci works. Sports, Jordan or Lebron would be a slam dunk. If you’re in business Trump carries weight and if you’re in porn, Steele rolls right off the tongue… In the restaurant industry, who’s better to rip off than Wolfgang Puck? However, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is no rip off and it isn’t Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant. It’s Wolfgang Zwiener’s restaurant. Haha, I said zwiener…

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is the ideal NY Steakhouse, it’s fancy, a bit uptight, expensive, has white table cloths, black bow-ties, mahogany wood, the steaks are big and the food is delicious. When I think about Burgers, I typically don’t think of steakhouses, but most of them have a burger on the menu and they are usually expensive and of a very high quality. Wolfgang’s has a burger everyone should know about.

The Traditional burger; I’m thinking lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, cheddar or American cheese, a thick patty and a toasted sesame bun. The traditional burger may have bacon and if it has a sauce it’s either ketchup, mustard or a thousand island. It does however lack any fancy or fun toppings like, Chipotle Mayo, BBQ sauce, onion rings, mushrooms, pineapple or really any other toppings you can think of. If you ask me who makes a great traditional burger I’d probably send you to Houston’s. Almost every restauant servers a traditional burger, and like Redheads, a few are spectacular, many are average and plenty are just terrible. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills was not only Masterful it was the BEST traditional burger I’ve ever had. Everything about this burger was perfect. It’s not cheap at $15 bucks, but when the plate comes out and you see that your massive 10oz burger also comes with fries and onion strings, you feel like you’re getting one hell of a deal.

The meat was exceptional. It tasted great and held together. The cheese was a simple cheddar and it almost glazed onto the burger which worked really well when I pushed the top of the toasted sesame bun down it fused to the chesse and the burger. When biting into the burger, juices exploded out of it making a sauce unnecessary. The tomato was thickly cut and they provided a ton of great tasting pickle chips. The bun wasn’t too thick, or too fluffy, it wasn’t cheap or pulled out of a bag, it was just right for the burger and toasted ever so perfectly.

When it comes to burgers, this one falls into my top 5, but when it comes to a traditional burger this one was KING!

The burger is massive at 10oz and tastes amazing and comes with Fries and Onion Rings

What's in a name? Wolfgang without the Puck just isn't the same.

I’ve walked past Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills many times as I take a Chinese class next door. One night, when I had no class, I decided to eat there. (I couldn’t resist the Dangerfield line from Back to School, rent it.) Stopping in to a restaurant in the 90210 brings a lot of expectations with it. Even though my meal was from the Dine L.A. menu, I was hoping for something more sophisticated than what I could get at any L.A. diner. These menus, I thought, were to give me a little slice of what a full experience at that restaurant would be like. I’m actually glad that it only drained our account for $32 per person because any more would have left me more ticked off than I already am. There was no creativity in the menu or presentation and if someone asks, "What do you expect for the price?” go to Gordon Ramsey’s London L.A. for their Dine L.A. menu to see and taste the difference. If I were Wolfgang Puck, I would take out a full-page ad once a month reminding everyone that I have nothing to do with this place.

Steak was not seasoned. Now I understand why they bring out a bottle of barbeque sauce with it. It needs a lift to say the least.

lamb chops at Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener

lamb chops

Lamb chops were good, I asked for the German potatoes with this dish. I asked the bartender what was German about these potatoes and he said,“I have no idea, the cook says it is basically fried hashbrowns.” The best way I can describe these potatoes is to imagine your local diner’s breakfast potatoes but with no seasoning and soggy. I was served a small bowl of mint jelly to go with the chops.

New York Cheesecake??? at Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener

New York Cheesecake???

This cheesecake was awful. It was so thick and mushy all I could taste was cream cheese. The side of whipped cream was bigger than the cheesecake and there was a mint leaf plopped on top that had no purpose for being there.

Lobster Bisque at Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener

Worst General Manager

I've never had such a terrible experience at a semi-upscale restaurant in Beverly Hills..The manager RON KIRK is like a bat out of hell...not sure what was eating him up (possible anger management issues)...I will never go back there ever…

Great Experience!!

My wine was superb along with my salad. The food was very prompt and I had no major complaints. It was my first time in l.a. and my 2nd restaurant so I was thrilled. Will come back soon !!

I went with a party of 4 people - without boring you with details, I must honestly say, this was the worst dining experience we have ever had. The food sucked, the service was non existent and when the manager EVENTUALLY came it was like a…
