Awesome French food…slower pace, like a real restaurant should be, no one is trying to kick you out here…if you’re on a diet, you might have to skip some of the heartier dishes, for the rest of us…YUM

lives up to the hype!

Yeah, I’ve lived in Los Angeles the whole time, but never made it to Matsuhisa…took a friend for her birthday here…I recommend going to the sushi bar (always) to ask the chef what they recommend…not to mention you can see what’s fresh…

We went mostly by what the chef recommended…and everything was tip top!

"shrimp carpaccio"

chef said it was Santa Barbara shrimp…I thought it looked like prawn…either way…sliced in half, in the shell (like how a lobster is prepared sometimes), shrimp roe intact, quickly blanched (like 2 seconds, I think), with a super light tangy (lemon?) sauce…. oh, this was superb!

House cured pastrami? Home made catsup? Garlic Aoli for your nicely done fries?? All much too good!
