Great old "drive up" joint
This little place has been around for at least 50 years from what I hear. It is painted purple and is right next door to a Sonic but is always busy and for good reason. The burgers may be the best in the county, the grilled cheese sandwich is like the old time favorite ones from when you were a kid, and the cones are great. Did I mention the fries? They are the real deal with skins on! There is no inside seating but there are some covered picnic tables on both sides where you can eat if you don’t want to sit in your car. Prices are fair.
Dishes Tried:
Grilled cheese sandwich
Served on white bread (possibly Texas Toast). Tastes like it was grilled in butter. I love grilled cheese sandwiches and this one is just like I remember.
Regular burger (large)
The hubby orders the Regular Burger (large). Possibly the best burger around. All beef patty (not pressed or precooked) on a large bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. Try it.
French Fries
Made from real potatoes or at least they taste like it! Skins on and awesome. Yeah, the catsup is in packets but who cares? Not too thin or too thick.
