Great Beer Selection, Mediocre Pizza

I really like the atmosphere and the beer selection but the pizza left little to be desired.

Dragon Fire Pizza at Toad House Pizza Pub

Dragon Fire Pizza

The pizza was overly cheesy and didn’t have the kick that we were expecting based on the description. The dough was decent but I would have loved to see a wheat option for the dough. The price was NOT WORTH IT. That’s what it boils down to. I’d rather go down the street and order a Jet City Pizza for half the price for the same, or maybe even better, quality.

Cafe Nola

 101 Winslow Way E
Bainbridge Island, WA

Quaint Cafe

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe! They have great outdoor seating and a small bar area as well. Even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon, we were seated quickly. The menu looked divine for brunch and they had an extensive drink menu. Prices were reasonable, considering it was Bainbridge Island! The service was decent though our server didn’t check with us to see how everything was and we had empty water glasses a couple times through the course of the meal. But like I said, it was a busy Saturday.

Focaccia Rosti Sandwich at Cafe Nola

Focaccia Rosti Sandwich

The focaccia was soft and doughy. There was the perfect amount of goat cheese. I would have liked a little bit more mushroom. The artichokes were fantastic! You could tell they weren’t the jarred in oil kind! The flavor was great, presentation was delightful! I subbed a side salad for the fries ($1.75) and it was a great light salad with a fantastic vinaigrette.

Chicken Club Sandwich at Cafe Nola

Chicken Club Sandwich

You can’t really screw up a sandwich that has chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. But it was missing a wow factor. There was a light spread of mayo and that was it. The chicken was also very thin and my husband would have liked to see a little more substance to the sandwich. He also didn’t like how chewy the crust was on the bread but I didn’t mind it. He opted for the fries with the sandwich and was satisfied with them.

Absolutely Fantastic Experience!

We had our rehearsal dinner here and they were incredibly accommodating, gave us exceptional service, worked with us on a custom menu, had a sommelier meet with us, the food was fantastic.

Shrimp Cocktail at The Range Steakhouse

Shrimp Cocktail

3 massive shrimp with horseradish sauce and lemon – very fresh!

Caesar Salad at The Range Steakhouse

Caesar Salad

I’ve never had whole anchovies on a Caesar before – I loved it! Not for the faint of heart, though!

Salmon with Lobster Risotto at The Range Steakhouse

Salmon with Lobster Risotto

The salmon was cooked to perfection. The lobster risotto was a little on the salty side but perfect consistency.

Surf n' Turf at The Range Steakhouse

Surf n' Turf

Lobster tail + steak
Everyone liked the lobster, albeit slightly overcooked, probably due to being a large party.

Free Range Chicken Breast at The Range Steakhouse

Free Range Chicken Breast

A great flavor!

Tiramisu at The Range Steakhouse

Tiramisu

I think I like my own tiramisu better – not enough coffee flavor in this one.

Great Mexican!

I loved dining here! It’s a bit off the strip and a little quieter which was nice for having dinner conversations with a large group of gals! The service was great – they were so accommodating! And I love when they make the guacamole fresh in front of you!

Drink Up!

Great margarita’s, good food, good atmosphere! A tiny bit more than I’d like to pay but hey – it’s Vegas!

Pomegranate Margarita at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville

Pomegranate Margarita

A little on the sweet side, couldn’t taste the alcohol = dangerous!

A massive serving with all the right things! A little more spice might have been nice!

Decent Diner Eats

I had been here once before with friends and Jodus had been here a lot when he lived over here a few years ago. But today, it wasn’t as good as we remembered. A pretty standard menu for breakfast food.

Corned Beef Hash at Big Apple Diner

Corned Beef Hash

No wow factor but it hits the spot. Good serving size!

Biscuits & Gravy at Big Apple Diner

Biscuits & Gravy

Huge plate of good gravy! The biscuits were nice and fluffy – it came with eggs + potatoes also!

Best Brew In Town!

We love Silver City! We’ve tried competitors and always end up back here! We are card carrying members now! The food, the service, the beer – it’s always great!

Smoked Steelhead Dip at Silver City Brewing Co

Smoked Steelhead Dip

Love the presentation! The flavor was spot on! Came out of the kitchen quickly!

Bodacious Balsamic Chicken at Silver City Brewing Co

Bodacious Balsamic Chicken

I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with this dish but it theory, it should have been excellent. The walnut goat cheese, while delicious, was the primary flavor – I would have liked to see a bit more balance (read: more balsamic).

Ordering the slaw as the side dish was a good choice.

BBQ Pork Sandwich at Silver City Brewing Co

BBQ Pork Sandwich

The boy has had this a couple times now.

Enjoyed it, liked the slaw on top. The pork was cooked well. The sauce was good – hit the spot! Great alternative to a typical burger!

Chimichurri Salad

Love the flavors of this dish! Would definitely have it again!

Tizley's Euro Pub

Cheap Breakfast - Gets The Job DOne

We went to Tizley’s for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I like the European atmosphere! I lived in Europe for a number of years and was looking forward to a euro-style breakfast. Sadly, I was a little disappointed with the menu selection. It was a rather loud atmosphere as well. I hear it is better for happy hour than breakfast. But for the price point, I really can’t complain. Though I do think that other places in Poulsbo might be better for eats.

The service was fine. The coffee was decent.

Spinach & Tomato Eggs Benedict at Tizley's Euro Pub

Spinach & Tomato Eggs Benedict

No wow factor but a good vegetarian option. The portion was a good size.

Biscuits & Gravy at Tizley's Euro Pub

Biscuits & Gravy

The gravy had an interesting smoky flavor to it that I enjoyed. The biscuits weren’t quite as fluffy as I generally like. I would have also liked the biscuits & gravy to come with a side of some sort. We ended up adding a side of eggs to round out the meal.
