Good Food, but way overpriced
Park Plaza has two places to eat: a casual cafe area on Park Ave., and an upscale dining room in the back. I ate in the cafe for brunch, and had no complaints (got french toast with eggs), except for the pricing. Everything was so expensive. Service was good however.

PAXIA: Great Mexican Cuisine, Affordably Priced
I’ve been hearing about this place for a while now, but had never actually swung by until last weekend—mainly because I wasn’t sure where it was (it’s across the street from Scruffy Murhpy’s on Edgewater). Wow have I been missing out though. The food here is absolutely awesome. My girlfriend and I started out with some guacamole and a round of margaritas… both of which were excellent. We were also very surprised by the variety of choices on the menu for entrees. Expecting to just choose from tacos/burritos/ fajitas (lol), we came across a menu filled with unique dishes I hadn’t seen elsewhere. I got the “pollo mole poblano”, which was a chicken breast dressed in a chocolate pepper sauce. It was great. My gf got the shrimp and scallop enchilada, which she absolutely loved. It came in creamy, spicy dressing… i would’ve like it probably if I didn’t hate scallops.
Anyways, my girlfriend and I were both very impressed with Paxia. The food was phenomenal, and we had no complaints about the service. It’s about time Orlando got some good Mexican.
Dishes Tried:
Pollo Mole Poblano
Boneless chicken breast, covered with with a mole-chocolate-pepper sauce. Absolutely delicious sauce—it really made the chicken 10x better.
