Simple, genuine Italian

What a nice place to visit. We first discovered Delvickios on a late evening shortly after we moved to Littleton early this year. We’d been up late unpacking and were a bit worried that we might not find a reasonable place open. But the lights were on, we were greeted warmly and at that hour (nearly 9 p.m.) we were only one of two couples in the restaurant. Not a problem. Our waitress was friendly and not a bit put out.

The menu is fairly traditional, pastas, pizzas and calzones, but our meals were well done. I had a simple spaghetti and meatballs ($9.95) and it was great. Mary had the chicken ravioli ($13,95) and was in heaven. Both came with a side salad and bread. Glasses of wine were reasonable ($5-6), so the entire meal came in under $30 for both of us. That is difficult to beat.

So, it has brought us back a few times. The latest was this morning for breakfast. Mary had a florentine benedict ($7.95) and I had the artichoke omelet ($8.45). Both served with hash browns and pumpkin bread. Since Mary doesn’t like pumpkin, they had no problem substituting wheat toast. With coffee, we were still out for not much over $20. Both were mouth watering, very well done.

All the desserts are made fresh on premises, and if you can find room, you’ll truly enjoy them. We split a serving of Italian lemon cake on one dinner stop – dense and not too sweet, delicious.

Gluten free meals are available on request.

We expect to be back often.
