The Wicked Monk
Brooklyn, NY
The Bayou Comes To Bay Ridge
This past Thursday night 07/31/2014 friends of mine and I had the great pleasure of experiencing The Wicked Monk’s Mardi Gras Thursday, my companions and I made a meal of the appetizers which included Oyster Sliders, Sirloin Sliders, and Crawfish Tacos, which were not only delicious but also quite filling.
Some of the Entrees like the Shrimp Jambalaya or the Corn Gumbo will have to wait till the next time but I’m willing to bet they’re just as good as the appetizers and well worth the night out, on Saturday and Sundays The Wicked Monk offers an excellent brunch, try the Dublin Crab Cakes, the prices at the Monk are within reason, the staff is friendly our server that night Lara was a real gem, during the week the Monk usually has live music, it’s well worth the trip.
Dishes Tried:
Crawfish Tacos
Excellent soft tacos, filled with crawfish, onions though spicy was well worth it.
Oyster Sliders
I’ve had sliders made with different kinds of meats but this is the first time I had a slider made from Oysters.
Sirloin Sliders
Sirloin Sliders are an excellent choice for the start of your meal.
