Unsanitary Tables and ,,,

Daughter took me to the Lynnwood Olive Garden for Fathers Day. The service was good and quick.
My dish was delivered so hot it would actual burn to touch the plate which is excessive for shrimp, cheicken and pasta. But it tasted good.

My complaint is while eating I observed the bus staff cleaning the table across from us.making a serious unhealthy error. The guy first wipped off the SEAT CUSHIONS with his rag and then used the same bio hazard contaminated rag to wipe the table top. This is gross and equivilent to eating your meal on a dirty toilet seat.

Many years ago when I worked in food service we would always clean with a disinfected socked cloth from the top down. First the table top and last the seat cushions if using a single rag. The rag would then be resoaked in solution before using again.

Not to make a scene with my daughter there I waited until I got home and called Olive Garden an expressed my concerns to the manager.

A big problem is only serving staff are required to have a Food Handlers Card and are aware of the procedures / rules on properly cleaning a table. Bus staff are not required to take any safety training on bio hazard risks.

My advice to diners is to watch how the tables are bused prior to eating at a table. This method is seen too often in many establishments. Most of us put our forks and knives directly on the table top…
