Savoie French Italian Eatery

Are you REALLY ready to open?

We have been waiting on pins and needles for Savoie to open! My husband and I are always looking for a new pace to enjoy good food and great wine. We love the location and design that Nico’s had so when we found out Savoie was coming soon we checked back frequently to see it’s progress towards opening. FINALLY the day came and we arrived for diner. After long consideration on what to order, we were disappointed when told they were “out” of several items on the menu… ease-dropping onto other customer’s orders they were told they were “out” of their selections as well… entrees, sides and desserts, the waiters kept coming back to tables to let them know the kitchen was “out” of a particular choice. Which was odd considering it was a Thursday night and the place was pretty bare. The Meatball soup was seasoned only with salt and the fettuccine bolognese tasted like Prego with it’s veal waaaaay over cooked in the sauce. We felt the stares of the staff as we ate as if they themselves were unsure of themselves. Not impressed… feels like they have many kinks to work out especially with their kitchen ordering management. Maybe they should have waited for their grand opening until they were prepared to actually cook what they offer on their menus.

over done, bland, watery
