Go only for the dessert

I had high hopes for this restaurant. It is located in a lovey vintage building on the park.
We waited a long time to be seated. This was for a private party. You would think that they would have the room ready at the reserved time.
It is dark and crowded and the noise level is obnoxious. Add to this the clamor of the waiter dropping metal trays on the floor behind us – not once, but three times.
I did not eat the bread or appetizers, but others in our group liked the scallops. The salad was mediocre. The Vegetable Farcis (the only vague nod toward a vegetarian entree) was supposed to come with quinoa. I told the waiter that if it had been made with chicken broth, I didn’t want it. My plate came with the vegetables and a few remaining grains of quinoa left after they scraped it off the plate. Really, you couldn’t just re-plate it? And no offer of a substitute was made. The meal was bland.
My husband’s salmon was cold, rubbery and tasteless.
Finally, dessert was served. It was delightful, but would have been enhanced had it been accompanied by coffee, although none inexplicably seemed to be available.
Overpriced for what it is, unpleasant dining environment and mediocre food. We will not visit here again.
