The Back Porch

The Back Porch restaurant occupies one of the oldest buildings in western pennsylvania. It was built in 1806 by the prominent Speers Family, who also owned and operated the Ferry routes across the Monongahela River. Today, the proud heritage of the Speer’s intent is being carried on by the Pappalardo family with a dedication to preserving and featuring the very best from architecture and relaxing atmosphere to fine foods. This is the perfect place to celebrate a special event or for a romantic dinner.

The salmon was very moist and was placed on top of seafood risotto. The portions are perfect not too small and not overwhelming. I have eaten at this restaurant more than a handful of times and we have never been disappointed with the food preparation. The menu changes based on what is in season.
