An Excellent Meal!

My wife & I went to Tutto A Modo Mio for the first time tonight & the meal was excellent! We had a reservation & I’m glad we did because the place filled up rather quickly. (It was 7:30 on a Saturday night.) From the moment we sat down at least 4 different staff members came to our table to take our order, give us bread & water, ask us how we were, & just attend to our needs. The bread they served was delicious: It was fresh & crusty & made in the owner’s bakery in Hackensack. We ordered a a stuffed artichoke & grilled eggplant as appetizers. Both were really delicious! I’ve never had an artichoke in an American restaurant prepared so well! It was fresh & moist without an excess of garlic. My wife had homemade cavatelli with sausage & rapini. It was very tasty with the sausage nicely browned. I had Fettucini Pescatore in a red sauce with lobster, clams, mussels, & calimari. It was superb! The pasta was homemade. It was flavorful with a really nice texture & the sauce had a rich lobster flavor. The fish was very fresh: not gummy or dry. For dessert we shared a piece of tiramisu & had two cafe macchiatos. The tiramisu was creamy (plenty of mascarpone) & the lady fingers moist with espresso & liqueur; the macchiatos were strong & rich—we didn’t even need to explain what an Italian-style macchiato was! To sum up, we really enjoyed our meal! The food was excellent & so was the service!
