Huisache Grill and Wine Bar

A great spot in a great little town
The Huisache Grill was an unexpected delight in the small South Texas town of New Braunfels. I dined at Huisache with my now husband on my first ever trip to New Braunfels about 5 years ago.
The atmosphere is the type you read about in books. Low lighting, the din of silverware and low conversation in the background, but the feel that you are in your own little world.
My husband and I always share the Mixed Grill. It features sausage, quail, and shrimp, all grilled to perfection. The rosemary new potatoes and vegetables are the perfect compliment.
Huisache offers a low key atmosphere with superb food in portions perfect for sharing and a wine list for all tastes and budgets. If you’re planning on dinner, get there early or make a reservation. But, if you have to wait, the little shops behind Huisache are interesting in to poke around in with a glass of wine from Huisache’s bar.
