I’ve been to Gautreau’s a few times and my opinion has never changed, it is class. In an uptown neighborhood, with no signs, if you did’t know where you were going you would never find the place.
The times I have been there the owner, Patrick, was at the door to greet us. As I have read, he hires upcomming talent and gives them the chance to show their stuff.
The times I have been there the chefs “STUFF” has been outstanding!
I had the chicken. My dinner guest thought I was nuts to get this but it was outstanding . The sweet bread had a great texture and was wonderful. My guest had the fish special and she loved it. We shared the banana split desert, more than we both could handle.
