Kinda Cheesy.. but Charming

I have lived in the area for a number of years… heard about this place… but never went. Well until Saturday. Thought my boyfriend and I would try it. I was impressed…actually. we went to the bar for a drink. asked the bartender for a table… within 20 min… they seated us… said there was a cancelation. Great… the waitress came over to us at the bar… was helpful in choosing entrees… and we placed our order for the appetizer and entrees. She came back to seat us when it was time… took our drinks to the table (big plus)… and I’ll add the staff all wears the white tux shirts. and black slacks… at the table we had kidney bean salad and cottage cheese… yum to both… he had the onion dumpling soup..and I a salad with their house dressing which is a celery root .. kinda too sweet but when added a drop at a time… yum… very tasty. the appetizer was a sampler platter… wasn’t overly impressed… clams were like the dust at the bottom of the bag… rangoon… blah and greasy… some liver wrapped in bacon… which my boyfriend wanted and I said i would try… which I did… and so now I don’t have to ever again ;) .. it was ok… I wouldn’t order the sampler again. I ordered the orange roughy for dinner and he ordered the prime rib. as sides we got the twice baked potato and asparagus… orange roughy… cooked perfectly great flavor… nice portion and presentation. Prime rib… was perfectly cooked… couldhave used a touch more flavor… but very tasty. twice baked potato… was great… asparagus were perfectly done… not soggy..not cold… not too tough… however, they were coated in something and I didn’t love them… but they were good.

no desert… no room… Good value for the money. service was fantastic..the manager looking blonde… could have been a mood killer… but I tried not to pay attention to her scowl and arms crossed and hoovering style… back off and apply more dye…makeup whatever it is you need to… you are a buzz kill… good thing the other people make up for your vibe..

Orange Roughy

Very tasty good size portion… cooked perfectly… can’t quite remember the price… but in the ballpark.

+Prime Rib

Can’t quite remember the cost of this entree. Good portion on the plate. could have used a touch more flavor… but was cooked well… tender and juicy… overall a delicious cut.
