Good food, still hungry afterward. Interesting concept. I had researched and read about a lot before going, and when i went knew pretty much all the courses, meaning the menu does not change often. Good to go and experience as it is one of the only types on the east coast. Would not do it again however.

Beautiful Restaurant! Excellent location, upon my entrance for lunch i was swiftly escorted to a table by the hostess, beautiful dining room and love the tavern. Server was very knowledge and attentive, having everything way in advance to the table. Started off with the Jerusalem artichoke soup, very excellent, beautiful knife cuts on the Ajo peppers and sweet potatoes. A bit creamy-very interesting and delicious. Because I am a friend of the sous chef, for the second course they sent out a Smoked Trout with pickled onions…VERY delicious, my favorite course. Beautiful colors and presentation, the pickling complemented perfectly with the trout-but you still got the smoking of the trout with the pickling flavor. Next i had a delicous chicken dish with fall vegetables-crispy golden skin, very delicious. For dessert i was served a absoulutely magnificent Goat Cheese Cheesecake with concord grape sorbet-mangificent!!!! The sorbet was very tart-could not be eaten byself but was deliciously paired with the cheesecake. I was also served a pumpkin cake..superb. Upon the conclusion of the meal i was given a tour of the kitchens…beautiful space and very roomy. Amazing restaurant, definetely recommend going!

What a beautiful restaurant. I came in with high expectations and left with even higher thoughts of establishment. Ordered the 5 course tasting menu…45/a head. Great great great deal. Courses were huge and turned out to be a great deal for a tasting menu. Great seasonality, great ingrediants. Beautiful food. Flavor was on spot. Best meal i have had in a very long time if not my whole life. Favorite dishes either being the Surry sausage wrapped pear with truffled beets and pine nuts or the Mahi Mahi with truffled potatoes and pumpkin sauce. Absoulutely amazing, a real must try.

I had come and visited before, just to check out the minibar upstairs and i talked a bit with the chefs. Later on that night, while the first sitting of the minibar was going on, I requested to sit at a table right near the minibar to be able to watch. I had already had dinner, so i wasn’t hungry but still wanted to try some of Jose’s creations. I first got the Grilled octupus with strawberry arugula salad and topped with a lime foam. This dish was great, the octupus paired well with the salad and the foam. The foam was great and had a very vibrant but no overpowering lime flavoring. To finish i had Coconut in Texturas, a bowl filled with coconut flan, topped with a scoop of coconut sorbet and some coconut shaving. This dish was great, the sorbet was perfect consistency and tasted delicious. The flan was amazing, tasted phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back here and have an actual meal.

I had heard about Jaleo and always wanted to try it. So, after i had finally gotten the chance, i went for it. The atmosphere is great, we got there around 4 and there was almost nobody in the restaurant, but surely throughout our meal the restaurant was full with a line. I started with the Degustia of Gazpachos, 4 served in shot glasses. The first was a watermelon, second a mango with grapefruit, third tomato, and fourth a garlic. They were all great and fresh with amazing flavor. My second course was a fried egg with a great mound of caviar and brushetta. This dish was great, the egg was cooked perfectly; when cut into the egg yolk burst out to be sopped up by the brushetta. My third and final course was two pork cheeks braised with orange and a red wine, perhaps sherry. This was my favorite course, the cheeks peeled off and were so tender, melting in your mouth. The flavor was phenomenal, the orange was very prominent and was great. Overall this restaurant is a must try, you will not be dissapointed.
