Best Gnocchi in Chicago

My Gnocchi or better know as potato dumplings with veal ragu and mushrooms have my vote for the best in the city. Not many Chef’s are this damn good. I am normally not a fan of Northern Italian food but Pelago is one of the few real fine dining Italian restaurants. No other Chef in the states compares to Chef Mauro’s style of cooking and this is one restaurant that you go to and than compare all others too.

The Rosebud Steakhouse

The perfect date night meal is at Rosebud Steakhouse

Rosebud Steakhouse is truly a World Class Steakhouse. From the moment you walk in you are treated like royality. No wonder this is a local hot spot for the Rich and Famous, but you don’t have to be a superstar to get rockstar service and a great meal at Rosebud Steakhouse. Our waiter Tom really understood the items on the menu and made sure each of us had selected the perfect meal from start to finish.

We enjoyed the Tuna Avocado and Sticky Ribs to start. Just a great start to a romantic dinner. For an entree we enjoyed the Bone-In Filet With Wild Mushrooms and Osso Buco “Volcano" (Thursday Special). The Bone-in Filet is a Steak that has no equal, every bite brings a smile to your face. The Osso Buco is so tasty that half way through it you are thinking about ordering another one. After dinner we went with two desserts that are made special right here at Rosebud Steakhouse (most restaurants don’t make their own desserts), which are the Keylime Pie and the Banana Cream Pie.

If these desserts don’t say I LOVE YOU, than you probably took a puppet to dinner, because they make everyone a little happier – if you know what I mean :)
