tough on the wallet

While the food was very good I would avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being over-charged out the wazoo. I went with a very large party of about 20 people and they swindled all of us out of an extra $26 plus 20% gratuity, which is more than the average 18% usually charged. The chef came out and offered our group samples of appetizers and pasta, leading us to believe they were complimentary. Then each person was charged $10 per plate for these samples. After dinner they brought each of us dessert samples, without offering us a choice. These were an additional $6 per plate. They also came around with a tray of after dinner drinks and offered “samples” to everyone. Those who accepted were charged an additional $10 per drink! These charges were never explained to us. Many of the group ended up with bills over $60-80 since their entrees are about $20-30 per dish. Maybe the concept of sample doesn’t translate to Italian. The place was deserted for a Saturday night, maybe this is why. What a shame since the food was good.

seafood lasagna

This was an open-faced lasagna with a pink cream sauce, stuffed with scallops, shrimp and lobster. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was very good. Shrimp were large and firm. Overall taste and presentation was excellent.
