Fantastic overall. Here was my lineup
duck liver terrine served with brioche, dijon mustard, gherkins and brandied prunes….smooth but not too smooth, the liver was amazing, the right amount of fat and perfectly seasoned. my only complaint was that there were unequal portions of the accompaniments and brioche

braised breast of veal with mustard syrup served with spinach over papardelle….packed a punch and left me speechless, piquant, papardelle was cooked perfectly, and the breast of veal was falling apart and extremely flavorful. the mustard highlighted each mouthful and was undercut by the sweetness of the veal…overall, a homerun

finally, brioche pain perdue with glace a la vanille served with candied fennel…the brioche was a little dry but balanced well with the ice cream, the candied fennel wasn’t overpowering and helped to make it more than a starch, cream, and sugar dessert

Very good, but not great. My partner’s butternut squash risotto was excellent but my cod brandade was undone by the parmesan crust on top. Dessert was good, but the semifreddo was too small and too cold

Went here for lunch and it was wonderful in every way. Attentive wait staff, nice view, tables spaced properly, excellent bread, my tuna was cooked perfectly and my partner’s lamb was on pointe

slightly overrated, no artful presentation to be had in the main course and the dessert wasn’t far above a gourmet frozen version of pie

Almost went for the sardines but opted instead for the chicken liver pate (nice with a coat of gelled fat on top, crispy sage leaves were visible and tast-able). Followed with branzino (difficult to eat if you’re not used to whole fish, but the wait staff deftly demonstrates the proper motions) and finished with a ginger (?) creme brulee and the waitress’s choice of tea. Overall not too pricey and well worth it

I forget what my appetizer was, but I had calves liver with prunes and crispy onions followed by hasty pudding. Very traditional but delicious nonetheless. I’d expect the category to be “WASP comfort food”
