Hakkasan Miami

 4441 Collins Ave
Miami Beach, FL

Another Hakka Please!

I never understood why it was so difficult to get a table at Hakkasan, that is until I experienced the restaurant myself. Immediately you sense a vibrant and energetic vibe, trendy, upscale, lively and stylish are the words that first come to mind as you enter. We were greeted and seated by a beautiful hostess with a bright smile.

Dark wood furnishings and intricate paneling adorn the dark dining area were booths and tables are available. A great bar area to the side was full of very attractive patrons that looked like they were having the time of they’re lives.
Our server, suggested for us to start with one of the signature drinks, The Hakka( Grey Goose vodka, TY-KU Sake, coconut, lychee juice and passion fruit) absolutely delicious, but be careful, it sneaks up on you!
We were so excited to finally visit the restaurant that we decided to let the Chef choose for us, here are some of the dishes He so kindly shared with us:
-Dim Sum Platter
-Crispy Duck Salad (The best salad I’ve ever had)
-Crab and Sweet Corn Soup
-Pan-fried eggplant with dried shrimp and soy sauce (this dish was a complete surprise and my favorite of the evening)
-Black pepper beef tenderloin
-Wok Fried Yellow Tail Red Snapper in King Soya
-Warm Chocolate Fondant for dessert
The service, the ambiance and the food exceeded my expectations that evening. If you think it’s a bit pricey, you might want to consider the Dim Sum prix fixe menu for $28 per guest or the Yum Cha prix fixe menu for $45 per guest.
I loved this restaurant so much that I returned for the Dim Sum Brunch. Don’t miss out on the Hakkasan Experience, you’ll love it!

The Cypress Room

 3620 N. Miami Avenue
Miami, FL

Absolutely delicious, not over done, but just right

A 1920’s setting with an unusual masculine and feminine balance. The walls are covered in lovely delicate wall paper wile contrasting with the wood paneling and beautiful Chrystal Chandeliers give an intimate and romantic atmosphere while comfortable and cozy. The menu starts in a lighter note and gets more substantial and rich. I had the pleasure to go with friends so we had the tasting menu. Our sever Steven was a true gentleman guiding us through our culinary expedition. From the crudo, royal red shrimp, cobia Calabaza faro, the filet with grilled zucchini and bone morrow butter, to the raspberry sorbet, Cypress Room is a must visit!

Casablanca Seafood Bar & Grill

 400 NW North River Dr
Miami, FL

Great seaffod, great service, great views!

My friends took me to Casa Blanca for my birthday dinner. We got there by boat and the staff was delighted to assist us docking. The service was very good from start to end. Mostly outdoor sitting with charming river views. The food was excellent. Paella, ceviches, octopus, whole grill fish and a good wine selection. Casual but very nice, and really a great local dining experience.
What to know how the locals dine in Miami, go to Casa Blanca to find out!

 920 71st Street
Miami Beach, FL

Floating Wooden boats on a conveyor belt sailing around filled with delicious sushi as the chef prepares it right in front of your eyes. Each plate had a different price and as you stack them, that is your bill. By all means this is not a fine dining experience, definitely a local spot, always a wait since is very good. Perfect for a casual night with friends and good food.

Sazon Cuban Cuisine

 7305 Collins Ave
Miami Beach, FL

A bit of Sazon in North Beach!

I have lived in North Beach for a few years and every time I have a visitor I take them to Sazon for some authentic Cuban Cuisine. We ordered arroz con pollo(chicken and rice) , Steak Fajitas and, my favorite, rolled up chicken stuffed with sweet plantains and cover in chimichurri sauce, we shared all the plates and everything was delicious. Don’t forget to leave room for the 3 leches for dessert, just for digestions he he. Fridays and Saturdays they have live music from 8pm to 10 pm. Try this local spot, you will not be disappointed!

Arroz Con Pollo

Love it, just like abuela use to make!

Bonjour Brickell!

Tired of so many menu items, L’Entrecote de Paris is the place for you. Only one item on the menu, Steak and French fries, served with a secret sauce. All you have to worry about is the temperature of your steak. Lovely setting in the middle of Brickell and excellent service, this is a very unique dining experience.
Bon appetit

Wynwood Kitchen and Bar

 2550 Nw 2nd Ave
Miami, FL

See and be seen!

Located in the art district, this is a place to be seen. We arrived and the restaurant was busy with a very attractive and hip clientele. A tapas style menu with a creative edge. I had the Shrimp tacos, pork belly and guacamole. Honestly, the food was very good, but this place is not fit for foodies, it is all about a night with friends out in town to see and be seen. Prices are a bit over the top for what its served, but frankly, if you’re going out to hang out, it’s a nice place to visit as long as you know what to expect.

Piccola Cucina

 440 Espanola Way
Miami Beach, FL

Espanola Way has a wonderful new addition

Piccola Cucina is a small and charming restaurant, with wonderful service and the food is amazing. Pastas cooked perfectly “al dente” and wide variety of seafood. One of my friends is vegetarian and they were able to easily accommodate her dietary needs. Not fine dining, but definitely nice and delicious with a “no attitude” vibe that is had to get in South Beach. This restaurant is fit for foodies, families and adventurers searching for the off the beaten path venue.
