It’s Moosewood!
Tastiness is inevitable. The menu changes daily, the options always include vegetarian and fish choices, the food is legendary and delicious, and their cookbooks kick ass.

It’s a french-style bakery, it’s a mexican fusion restaurant, and it somehow mixes both quite well. come HERE for huevos rancheros, folks. and enchiladas layered with potatoes, grilled veggies, and queso blanco that are TO DIE FOR. and salsas that have some real hurt in them. but come also for their muffins, sweet breads, and cheesy biscuits – which brought us there in the first place. nice cafe atmosphere, very relaxed and informal.

I never know what I’m eating here, but at least I can be sure that it’s vegetarian. I’ve only had dim sum here, but they also have a full menu of entrees and appetizers. but the dim sum is SO GOOD. This is a great place for a crowd of people to come and nibble at many, many small plates. My favorite: the fried turnip cake. drool

This is the best Indian food I have ever tasted. Everything is richly spiced and prepared to order. I’ve been eating here for years and the owner makes me feel like family. I have brought all of my friends here at some point. I live in Queens now, but travel to Kenilworth, NJ for dinner here if i am craving Indian.

In my opinion this is the best quality, most imaginative and beautifully presented vegetarian food to be found in NYC. The space is cozy and romantic downstairs and comfortable and laid back upstairs. Nice wine selection. Pricey but worth every cent.

Of all the asian vegetarian restaurants I have ever tried, this is my favorite. The food is always phenomenal. There are two other locations in NJ, but the menus differ at each location. This one has the largest selection and – a vegetarian sushi bar! It goes way beyond avocado and cucumber rolls. one warning: If meat analogues that are convincing freak you out – this is not the place for you.

I crave their scones like nobody’s business, their tea selection is HUGE, and they have cute tiered serving platters. Theres always a wait to get in here, but it’s worth it!

The food here has never disappointed me. The menu is all vegetarian and features dishes inspired by many cultures. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual and the waiter has always been very friendly. The place is run by the male followers of Sri Chimoy (sp?) and there’s a corner of “literature” to be leafed through if you so desire, which i find entertaining. But the food, the food! Very tasty meat analogues and vegetable dishes abound! And it’s cheap!
