Great Food, Authentic Mexican, Good Service, Decent Prices. What’s not to like?
always a full parking lot but don’t recall ever waiting for a table. The staff( mostly Mexican) are fast and friendly if sometimes not totally great with the English language.
it is probably Chardon’s one of 2 best places to eat imo.( Sebastian’s on the Square being the other although it’s been a long while since i ate there)
Huge menu, i usually get taquito’s in some form. also have had the chimicanga ( yep it’s not really Mexican but they have a disclaimer about it) which is good but covered with cheese sauce( lactose intolerant so no good for me) and the enchiladas Jalisco ( succulent shrimp, very good)
you get the usual but good chips and salsa pre-meal and most meals come with refried beans( not a fan but these are actually kind of tasty) and rice with assorted toppings, IE sour cream, picco, guac, etc.
lunch is $5-10 dinner$ 8-12 they offer take out as well.

since i mentioned it here and can’t get a phone number to add as a new place, I tried the Middlefield El Patron…looks like same basic menu, same friendly service , similar odd decor( who is their painter? a crazed 2 yr old? lol) but unfortunately not nearly as good as Burton. My taquitos, while the Yucatan(sp?) BBQ pork filling was ummumm good the shells were setting in a pool of grease and i didn’t’ get any toppings( they aren’t listed on the menu but i usually get them in Chardon) so not sure if they forgot, don’t give them with all the plates or what, husband did get them with his. Friend got a salad and had the same problem with the seafood in it..Husband got the 3 enchilada dinner and said it was good but Chardon’s is better…hopefully it is just growing pains and they will be up to the caliber of Chardon soon. no beer yet either if that is a concern
