Mexico Joe's
The address given shows the restaurant to be on the west side of Main Street but it is actually 1/2 block on the East side of Main Street
Mexico Joe’s is always a fun restaurant to eat out. The decor is very atmospheric. The waiters and watresses are usually very friendly and helpful. Also it’s a great place to bring children as the accoustics are horrible and if they get loud, no one will notice that much. (^;
This is the second restaurant opened by the owner of Eskimo Joe’s. which opened 32 years ago. Mexico Joe’s has been around for 20 years
The first thing when seated is they bring a basket of warm chips and great salsa. The salsa comes in two varities. Hot and mild. The mild is freshly made and never too spicy for those who don’t like lots of fire in their salsa. The cold drinks are served in cups that the customer can take home with them.
My meal didn’t cost between $20 and $50, I was treating my out of town children and grandchildren my meal would have cost about $12 with drink
Dishes Tried:
Blue Corn Echilada
This is my favorite dish at Mexico Joe’s. There is choice of the kind of meat for the filling Chicken seasoned ground or Machcha, which is shredded roast. and what always get.
The topping is an avocado white queso. Comes with refried beans and rice. I don’t like beans so always ask that it’s left off and they give me double rice.
The rice is not the standard tomato based Mexican rice. I believe it has turmeric in and lots of lime. But it’s my favorite rice of any Mexican Restaurant.
