My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We used to be able to find them at the fairs with their signature dish, the apple dumpling, but last summer they weren’t there. At least we didn’t see them. So since we’d decided to wander around Langley this weekend, we thought we’d go ahead and try it.
I give this restaurant 3 stars because though our food was really good, the selection was quite limited. Also, the service was very slow. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and several servers in the back just chatting and hanging out. Needless to say, service should not have been that slow.
Still, like I said, the food was really good. The just need to step up the pace a little and add some variety.
Dishes Tried:
Tuna Melt
The sandwich was good. They stuffed it with tuna, which was good. I’m just surprised they hadn’t thought of putting apples in it. That’s what I do with my tuna sandwiches, when I can. I had the apple coleslaw on the side and that was pretty good, too; very chunky, which I like.
Apple Dumpling
Their signature dish and worth whatever it is my husband paid for it. lol Hot, soft, and delicious! Baked apple in pastry, need I really say more? Yum!!
Braeburn Restaurant
Well, so sorry to have say this, but the 9th of August has come and gone. The good news is, WOWZER! once again the food was excellent. I had the Northwest Omelet, while others at my table had Portobello/Rice sandwich (my favorite) The curry chicken sandwich (she said it was very good); Also one had the Saratoga omelet. She also said it was good. There you have it in a nutshell and IF I ever get my act together I will definitely go back. So refreshing. Good service too.
Dishes Tried:
Northwest Omelet
Very good and I did not feel uncomfortable after eating the whole thing I was just comfortably content. The potatoes were great too. Only thing i might have a qualm about was the biscuit that I had it was not real warm and too crusty for me. But flavor….fantastic. (No dribbles on my blouse this time).
