China Chef

I have been ordering delivery regularly from them for a few months, the food is mostly tasteless but they’re the only place around who does delivery. Typically they screw up at least one thing on my order, this time it was several, I always say the same thing, please dont put green peppers in my food, I ordered two dishes by name and menu number, I got greeen peppers which I’m allergic to and they gave me my beef w/garlic sauce not as a dinner special as I’d requested by number but the woman insisted I just wanted it separate with white rice. I am not intolerant of mistakes, my problem was with her attitude(she said she was the manager, thought I doubt it , at first she put a different woman on), but she not only refused to do anything about it , was not even a little bit apologetic but also tried to frame it as all my fault she screwed up again. I’ll never order from them again, nor will my friends. Needless to say they wouldn’t do anything to make it right; actually I hadn’t intended to demand anything tonight, it was too late but I figured at least on a future order they could offer me a replacement, the order taker is mentally sub par I’m afraid, how hard is it to realise when a person says please don’t put green peppers in my food, I’m allergic,
that applies to all the food on the order !? Yet another inedible dish from China Chef with a side of screw you. :)

Their food is ok, but nothing special. It’s just like every other Chinese food place out there. My major problem is that they have hired some other company to run their website and as a result, I waited 1 1/2 hours for an online delivery order and upon calling the store, found out that the order had never gone through. While they did offer to make it and send it out, I was not offered any kind of discount or anything to make up for their lack of service. It’s now been 2 hours since my order was originally placed and I’m still sitting here waiting on it right now.

There are NO WORDS to describe the shock that my entire mouth experienced when I took a bite of my “Chicken Noodle Soup”. Yes, there was broth. There were bits of what I consider to be green onions or scallions. There were noodles. But then there was this….this STUFF. I have NO clue, and I don’t believe that anyone in the field of modern science, could come up with a reasonable explanation for the glutinous/semi-fibrous, but not fibrous enough to be meat, product that was floating in my broth. It was yellow, at a glance appeared to be either fat or chicken skin, but after a very close examination (which I really wasn’t feeling up to doing), it was neither. Not meat. Not meat by-product. I am going to ASSUME that they attempted to “invent meat” by using some creative gluten tweaking. What they ended up with resembled what you cough up during a severe bout of bronchitis. I called them, and the woman said “We have new chef, he try something different”. I said “You have BAD chef; he try something terrible”. Either way, my chicken noodle was more of a mucous noodle, was absolutely horrific, and I will NEVER, EVER, EVER order from China Chef again. Oh, I did get the donuts, and they were divine. But they are DOUGH. Can’t fake that.
