My new favourite place for Italian food, La buca, is a casual Italian bistro brought to you by the same owners as Parkside. The 32 seat restaurant allows the kitchen to control quality of food and service in a very casual atmosphere. Pasta’s are all made fresh and you can have half orders as appetizers. The tagliatelle in bolognese was fantastic. I also ordered eggplant parmesan and the veal marsala, both cooked to perfection. My friend ordered lasagna aperto with wild mushrooms, spinach, Parma ham, Montasio cheese – also amazing. Wine prices are very reasonable and you can order by the glass, quartino or bottle – bottles start from 25 dollars. The tiramisu is not to be missed – they do it right here.
