Outback Steakhouse

We have eaten at Outback Steakhouse’s all over East
Texas and other locations, so when we came upon the
one in Joplin we were happy campers

We ordered a Rib Eye steak with bake potato & salad.
The drinks arrived quickly and we were soon eating a
very nice green salad, it went down hill from there. My
Gal Pal ordered her steak med and I got my med well
as I was fixing my potato she cut her steak and said she
gave us the wrong steaks as the one she cut was more
than well done, I traded with her and as she cut into it it
was cooked more than the first one, we flagged down
our waitress (a very nice lady) she said she would get the
manager when we told him the problem he asked what
do you want me to do? Ohhh I don’t know? Hey how about
cooking two more the way we ordered them, he called the
waitress over and asked her how we ordered them, she
told him how we ordered them, he had her go to the kitchen
and get the paper she wrote the order on. When he told us
he couldn’t replace the steaks I told him I wouldn’t pay for
something I didn’t order. He said he was calling the police
I told him to go ahead, to my surprise he did, a nice younger
officer came out we both told our story and he asked if I was
willing to pay for the salad and drinks which I did. The office
stopped us on the parking lot and told us all about Wilder’s
Steak House, we got directions and went there.

If you are in Joplin and don’t give a flying french fry how your
steak is cooked or how you are treated eat at the Outback,
if you want it done your way go to Wilder’s.

I gave it two stars because our waitress was good and helped
us out…
