Taste of Punjab

We went with out Entertainment book (buy one entree get one free coupon in there) to this Indian place in Sandy last night. Now I have been to probably about every Indian food in the Salt Lake area. I’ve been to Star of India, Royal India, Taste of India, Taj India, and a couple more. I have to give this Indian place the highest overall rating. Their food was delicious (as usual with Indian food) but they gave the most for your buck. I’ve been to some places where you order a dish and it has maybe 10 little chunks of chicken in it and is almost $12. This place gives about 3 times the amount of food of any of the other places I’ve been. The atmosphere was nice…a lot of pink, fuschia, nice dinner glasses for water with fanned napkins inside, etc. They were very nice. In reading reviews for this place, there is definitely one thing I do reccommend…call ahead and order first. We did and it was so nice to just sit down and have the food brought out. The menu is on here, and although the dinner prices are about 1-2 dollars more than the menu price listed on this price, it is still well worth it. Their vegetarian dishes were just as good as their meat dishes. Try the combo appetizer…you’ll love it! We always order mild spicing which is spicy enough for us, but they have the option of medium, hot or fiery hot as well and I heard the fiery hot really truly is the hottest you’ll ever get. If you’re looking for a great indian place, this is it. (they even were nice enough not to punch the card so we could go again with our coupon!) And we will!!!
