The wing sauces might be acceptable if *I* were sauced.
The price was relatively cheap, so I wasn’t expecting the best wings ever, yet they still sorely disappointed me. The wings’ claim was that they were “fresh and never frozen,” but somehow “tasty” eluded them entirely.
The sauces I tried were the Honey BBQ and the Thai Peanut. The BBQ was below average and had zero honey flavor. The Thai was not just the worst wing sauce, but the worst sauce of any kind that I can ever remember eating. I opted to wipe off the Thai sauce with a napkin and eat the wings with some BBQ sauce from my fridge. It was a vast improvement.
Terrible experience and absolutely NOT recommended. Even if you are drunk, I’d still say anywhere but Wingnuts.
Dishes Tried:
BBQ Honey Wings (8)
Cons:
-No honey or sweet flavor whatsoever.
-Inferior to BBQ sauce you can get at the grocery store.
Pros:
-Edible
Thai Peanut wings (8)
Described as “Great aroma w/a kick.” Not quite, although “kick” does describe the punishment your taste buds will feel.
Cons:
-Absolutely vile flavor.
-“Kick” indicates spice, which was absent.
Pros:
-You can wipe the sauce off and cover the wings with something else (this is recommended).
-Disgusting taste allows you to recreate “Fear Factor” in the comfort of your own living room!
