ok but not a destination
This restaurant is located at the corner of two busy streets, so it is handy when in transit. That is how my dining companion and I ended up at this place for lunch — it was on our transfer point. Service was fast (we were in and out in about half an hour) but the waitress would not speak English to us until it was time to pay.
Weekend breakfasts are served as late as 2 pm. But the lunch menu is also available at noontime.
Dishes Tried:
Chicken Burger
The burger was tasty, very hot and not dry. Even the bun was hot. It came with lettuce and tomato that were very fresh, and just a tiny bit of mayo not too much. (Fries and coleslaw are available at an additional charge.)
Submarine #6 Le Pimento
The warm sandwich was served open faced, and made with sliced steak, green peppers, cheese, cooked onion, shredded lettuce, “house vinaigrette”, and one sad slice of tomato. The meal was very filling but on the bland side.
Note: the menu promises “oignons frits” which I thought meant onion rings, but instead refers to the bits of cooked onion in the sandwich.
