I’ve spent most of my life as a professional musician performing on cruiseships in the Bahamas and played most major hotels on Miami Beach from 1972 through 1976. I was in the Marine Corp 1967 through 1969. Disabled from back disk, & Vietnam service.

Sheboygan is now "SOUTH OF THE BORDER"

Just tried a new venue I was leary about. I’ve had bad experiences with mexican food before especially with my wifes delicate digestive system with reflux and all. Today we felt daring and decide to go mexican and live on the edge.
With expert assistance from the server staff, we were “educated” on practically every dish on the menu, which covers a vast variety of mexican fare. Our choice of smothered burrito’s in green chili sauce was scrumptious to say the least. Paired up with mexican rice and refried beans rounded out the meal and our bellys! The portions were massive and very fresh and heated perfectly. It was a real treat and a change from that “fast food Taco joint”. The atmosphere was very comfortable. We can’t wait to return to satisfy our next craving for “SOUTH OF THE BORDER”!

Burrito El Camino

The food was prepared with authentic flare! Everything was fresh and heated perfectly. Certain dishes that are prepared “spicey hot”
are noted on the menu with a red chili pepper as a friendly reminder if “hot” dishes disagree with your tummy. But for those who love to crash and burn, just their complimentary starter of salsa and warmed corn chips will put a slight smoke in your stack!
If you love mexican fare, by all means, saddle up and head “SOUTH OF THE BORDER” to El Caminos for grub you will be glad you rustled up.

Best "do it yourself" steak eatery in Sheboygan!

Your visit and meal depends on YOU! The choice and cut of meats for preparation are great. From tenderloin/fillet, ribeye, strip, porterhouse, and spuds/breads with endless fresh salad will make your dinner worth doing yourself. The meat cuts are extremely large and great cuts. Season and cook over a charcoal grill to your liking is very satisfying. When the meat juices and potato butter/sour cream mixes together followed by a bite of garlic toast is to die for! My favorite place to dine. My wife prefers the off the menu from the Family Restuarant section and loves the portions. Can’t wait for my next visit. Mike & Kathie B.

Porterhouse

Steak was very tender, potato done perfectly, salad bar very fresh and inviting, and sides ordered very hot and yummy. I’ve tried every cut of meat available and find it hard to pick my favorite!

Rupps Downtown

Pure Heaven on a plate!

My wife and I are fairly new to Sheboygan after relocating from Ohio in 2009. We have frequented Rupps downtown several times and always have a great dining experience. The food is carefully prepared and never altered from the last time ordered. The atmosphere and aire is very comfortable, and the server/chef staff is extremely dedicated. The salad bar excites my wife that really concerns me! It’s a good thing we live 2 blocks from Rupps if we should get snowed in and roads are blocked. We are hooked on Rupps. Mike & Kathie B.

Scallops

Scallops were very tender and delicious. My hubbys steak was mouth melting and perfect cut/cooked. I always take home some of their onion soup somewhere on my clothes! To die for! My hubby doesn’t drink alcohol but must have 1 of their famous Bloody Mary’s made by Rupps talented mixologists. An entree all by itself!
We seldom have room for desert but when we do, it’s in a league by itself to finish off such a great meal.
